Last April, Canada launched the Start-Up Visa Program. It is now soon going to release who has been granted the Start-up visas.
Following similar Government initiatives throughout the world, Canada is giving sought-after entrepreneurs a specific visa route. The uniqueness of the Canadian Startup-visa visa is that, like no other startup visa in the world yet, it provides permanent residency immediately.
Canada hopes to become a destination of choice for start-up innovators, and remain competitive in the global economy.
The visa is still on a trial period: a five-year pilot program. It is limited to no more than 2,750 applications per year. Let’s see if it can attract entrepreneurs from others places like Silicon Valley, Chile, Australia and the UK.
